How are charges on subscriptions carried out in Periode?
The day a subscription/membership will be charged Periode attempts to charge the payment method the user has selected. For example a credit card.
If the transaction fails an email will be sent to the end user. For example due to insufficient funds. The customer must then either update their payment method on the link provided in the email.
By default Periode will attempt twice a day for 3 days, if it still fails the subscription will be terminated.
If the customer wishes to renew a terminated subscription they must then enter into a new subscription.
How does a refund work?
When a transaction is cancelled or refunded, Periode immediately sends a notification that the amount is to be either released or returned to the customer's account. As a rule, it takes 2-3 banking days for this to be completed. Note this can vary greatly depending on which bank and which card the customer used at the time of purchase.

A customer wants changes to their subscription, is this possible?
Yes, within certain limits one can change a subscription. This is, for example, by going from a “Basic” to “Premium” subscription. You will also be able to change the price of your subscription. Tools for these changes can be found in our user portal.
Is it possible to charge money from anywhere in the world?
Yes, we use a Stripe setup which supports most payment methods. For Scandinavian customers we support Vipps.
How do I register that a customer has arrived?
We have a Checkin view used by many saunas around the world with a calendar showing all your products at each location making it easy to mark customers as arrived.
Are Periode GDPR compliant?
We take data protection seriously. All personal data and waiver signatures are stored securely on the Periode platform. We follow GDPR principles around data minimisation, secure storage, and limited retention.
What protection do you have with regards to cybersecurity?
We rely on Google’s enterprise-level security for the storage of all data, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. In addition, Periode enforces secure authentication and follows industry best practices. (edited)
What reports will be available to me from the platform?
You’ll be able to export all transactions, bookings, memberships, and payments directly to Excel/csv files.
